SCP connection to a server: Connection error

Hi,

I’m trying to connect to a server via SCP, and I get “Connection error!” message popping up. And there is no additional info provided, so how do I debug this? Is there a connection log or something? Right now I have two suspicions, though after thinking it through I don’t think either of these is crucial enough to cause a connection error, but you guys will know better than I:

I left the “password” field blank in the settings - can this be the reason? Shouldn’t Me Commander ask me for my password every time I try to connect to that server? Or it’ll just try to authenticate with an empty password?
The remote “home” path is wrong. It’s “/home/”+$USERNAME, but it’s very different in case of that server I’m trying to connect to. This directory does not exist there. And I don’t really see how to change it in My Commander.

Hello Yury,

SCP code needs to be updated with latest exchange algorithms in order to work with latest SSH/SCP servers.
There was a problem with the kex on WIN 10 1903 but it is fixed now.

We are working to update the code right now. For older servers works fine.

For password field you need to fill it in order to connect for SCP connection.
For SSH connection password will be asked after you connect.

The path is not a problem, it it won’t find it on the server it will go to root path /.
